This is due to the ServicesPipeTimeout. You must increase this to 2 minutes as follows:
To increase the
service start up timeout by entering the following registry entry:
- Cmd > Regedit
- Go to folder: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
- Right client control folder > New and
select DWORD Value.
- Name = ServicesPipeTimeout
- Set Value to 120000 (As Decimal / 120000ms =
2minutes)
- Quit Registry Editor and restart computer..
Services should now be up and running.
I feel these are some very useful steps and would definitely provide a solution to people struggling with Qlik View and Qlik Sense.
